Pottery Barn Gone Goth?

Last October i was searching and searching for a tray for my living room to match my new furniture and new color scheme. I didn't want just any ordinary tray, and i just couldn't seem to find anything that caught my eye. During Halloween season, i was just randomly strolling through pottery barn (something i do very often), and couldn't help but stop at the Halloween section in the store. Something i never do, because i NEVER buy holiday decorations. I was really surprised to see them try something a little different from there usual autumn colors. Pottery barn actually went a little dark, with goth themed decorations. Although some of the items were a little too out there for me, i really fell in love with the skull tray. It was something that i felt could be in my home year round and give a little unique touch to my living room. It's just something unexpected. I obviously had to get it, and i've been happy with the purchase ever since.

Flat doesn't have to be flat any more.

Now this is a clever way to get rid of those boring WHITE walls! Below is a caption from 2modern.com

"Inhabit's Embossed Wall Flats are designed to expand in any direction. With peel-and-stick adhesive tabs and an automatic pattern repeat these wall tiles are simple, modern, versatile and goof-proof. You can cover a existing wall, help disguise a not-so-smooth wall or add a modern pattern to any room setting.

Customize them by rotating every other tile or row, mix-and-match patterns or paint them to coordinate with your decor. The rule is there are no rules and the important thing is to have fun with it. It's low stress, low commitment and a big payoff in the way these tiles will impact a space.

Only for use indoors. Sorry but they are made of paper. Wall Flats can be used to do an entire room, one wall or to create free-standing-art pieces.

Inhabit Wall Flats are made with 100% bamboo pulp. Bamboo is one of the worlds fastest self-replenishing resources. The process of molding the panels is chemical-free. Panels can be recycled."

The braille wall is my favorite.

Amelie

One thing that we do at Evo is talk about movies. We even go out of our way to have movie night about once a month with all the Evo employees and families. I'd guess I'd say movies are kind of important here. Every one at Evo knows my least favorite movie of ALL TIME is ghostrider with Nicholas Cage. Let me just say BAD! However some disagree (i won't name any names...Mohan and John). This is some thing that I think will be debated for years to come. As for great movies, I will say that my favorite movie of all time is the foreign film called Amelie. I probably have seen this movie at least a minimum of 11 times and pretty much know the entire sound track. The entire movie does use subtitles, but the dialogue is quick and easy to follow. I think what I enjoy most about the movie are the witty characters, beautiful cinema-photography, and unique story line. This is a film I can watch over and over again and never get tire of it. This is definitely a MUST SEE!

SPY

I'm super siked about these sunglasses, and I've been eyeing them (don't mind the pun) for months now. While on one of our business trips, I was window shopping as always, and fell in love with these shades. I typically burn through sunglasses like water, so of course, I didn't buy them. I guess i'll just keep admiring them for afar. *NOTICE the cool bone detailing. You can find these at http://www.spyoptic.com/cat.php?k=62182&p=SPY670654315074#SPY670654315074

MINI Chopper

Now this is totally a must have. It's mini, affordable, and just awesome. I totally want to buy this and mess with my dog, Suki. He would love chasing and jumping up after this tiny helicopter. This toy would entertain him for hours of endless fun! For more information, check out... http://www.thinkgeek.com/geektoys/rc/934c/

Got Guilt?

How ridiculous is this cookie? There is definitely no way of hiding these nutrition facts. Supposedly they cost around $25.oo for two, because they are not only considered a food item but also art work as well. All I know is that I'm usually not the type of person who likes the nutrition facts screaming in my face. But it is in all honesty, I'd probably still buy them because they make me laugh.
